I have been given a blackberry 8310 that is restricted to T-Mobile. Does anyone know of a FREE way to remove the network restriction?
(I have tried google but they were pretty much all pay sites and I don't have an account with T-Mobile)

Give it back and get a Palm instead
(or an iPhone, but that's bound to T-Mobile as well...)I know that one can "fix" the iPhone but not sure how to fix the berry...

Blackberry was free, palm will not be and an iphone from O2 (in the UK) will cost £700 inc contract for the basic 8gb version hence why I bought the 32gb itouch. If I can't unlock it then no biggy but I have a few spare orange sim cards knocking about so fancied seeing what it could do.

I'm going to be in Belgium this weekend so maybe i'll take it with me on the offchance I find somewhere ![]()

Last time I had my phone (sony) unlocked it cost me 25 euro's because he also had to install new software.
With these advanced phones it's not as easy anymore as it used to be. But imo unlocking it is definitely worth your 10-25. Just get someone to do it who guarantees you a phone if it doesn't work ![]()
