As far as I know it's updated partially by checking the eq2players item database. It is not 100% accurate, since we killed xebnok ages ago.

Seems you can update the kill list manualy.

That's true, on the other hand a guild can be credited of killing an avatar, and tgey did not, but they have some member(s) coming form an HC who did !

Uh, let's credit us for all sorts of avatar kills too then!

It is done by examing players gear on eq2players.com

So:
 - If you have killed a mob but the item wasn't equiiped when the eq2players database was updated then you aren't credited.

 - If you bought an item it will think you have killed the mob.

 - If you killed a mob in a different guild it will think you have killed the mob.
 (eg KoTWS are listed as having killed Contested Anashti)


Edit: Strangely it has Mostly Harmless in 12th - yet members there definatly have loot from just about every named and some contested loot.

Some Info:

The kills can be modified manually and kills can be corrected and changed by every user. I have added some early RoK kills with some dates for Synergy. I looked in the DKP Tool and checked the dates of the first raids, but we might have some kills from the old site that are no longer documented.

If I have time I will update the dates of the other kills. Most TSO Kills are documented in our new so those should be easy. The kills we did before are harder unless someone has a list with some dates on.

and yea, its not worldwide progression list. on this this forgot russian community. For example Surreal first worldwide killed Munzog and first in world closed TSO expansion :)
